Our approach
The site aims to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Accessibility is addressed in the underlying semantic HTML, keyboard behavior, colour contrast, responsive layouts, and content structure. The accessibility menu provides optional reading and display adjustments. It is an assistive convenience, not a substitute for accessible source code and not a guarantee of conformance.
Available adjustments
Open the round accessibility button or press Ctrl+U (Command+U on macOS). The menu can enlarge text, adjust spacing and line height, change contrast and saturation, highlight links, pause motion, provide reading guides, expose page structure, and use supported browser speech tools. Settings remain on this device until reset.
Known limitations
- Some interactive data visualisations and third-party embeds may not expose every data point to assistive technology.
- Browser speech recognition and text-to-speech support varies by browser, language, device, and operating system.
- Very large text or heavy spacing can make dense dashboards require additional horizontal or vertical scrolling.
- Older documents or linked third-party resources may not meet the same accessibility standard as this site.
Privacy and the accessibility menu
Display preferences are stored only in your browser under the key a11y-widget. Voice and speech features use browser-provided APIs and may be subject to the browser vendor's own processing rules. The dictionary makes a request to dictionaryapi.dev only after you enable the feature and select one to three English words. Do not select confidential or personal information for lookup.
Report an access barrier
If a page, control, document, or interaction prevents access, email shahzad.cdcu@gmail.com. Include the page URL, the problem encountered, and the browser or assistive technology used when possible.
